Farmhouse in the Empordà

We were asked to carry out a landscaping project for a farmhouse in l’Empordà renovated by LUV studio . We detected two areas with different functions: the first intended for specific events, and another area for private use close to the main home. The accesses for both areas were worked on, seeking landscape unity and coherence with the environment. The entrances were designed under the same concept to evoke a Tuscan landscape: an alignment of vertical cypresses with lavender at the base accompanies this welcoming journey.
In the event area, a native Quercus forest was created with some islands of seasonal fruit trees inside. An avenue of deciduous trees leads to an iron gazebo covered with climbing roses and embraced by a plantation of Lilos.
The overall result was an orderly forest to host events that functions as a backdrop for the main residence.
In the private area, a series of stone walls contain flowerbeds of vegetation of different size, texture and flowering with marked seasonality.
