Palauet d’Orsà
Vallvidrera, Barcelona. First phase completed in 2024
This neoclassical style mansion built in 1900 is surrounded by a garden. We wanted to transform the exterior to recover the original spirit, also adapting it to current times. Some existing living areas have been expanded to make them more habitable, such as the new garden in front of the façade or the new pool area. The entrance has recovered its stately style by changing the pavement for one of natural stone and rebuilding its stairs and walls with integrated flower beds. In addition to increasing the drainage surface, the collection and management of rainwater has been improved by creating slopes towards the plantations. In the forested area, the pre-existing trees have been partially pruned to regulate the entry of light and avoid overlap and competition between specimens that were planted too close together. By modifying the topography, new terraces have been created to host events of different scales and degrees of intimacy.
The objective was to carry out the restoration of this historic garden, implementing its uses and functionality.
