Villa Cap de Barbària

Designing and carrying out this work was quite a challenge, a canvas with very peculiar and limiting conditions: strong saline winds, a minimal layer of soil (the rock surfaces to the surface) or a climate with little rain and high sunshine. The objective was to offer a delicate proposal adapted to these factors. The volume and structure of the existing juniper forest was studied to locate the main spaces, routes and secret gardens. Some traditional dry stone walls were built to be able to add soil and, where this was not possible, species that lived with a few centimeters of substrate were proposed. The result is a garden with a marked Mediterranean style that is densified in entrances, boundaries, flower beds that surround the pool and outdoor terraces, accompanying the routes and enveloping the magnificent Villa designed by LUV studio and OUA.
